Empowering Day 2025

We are pleased to inform you that the Center for Innovative Pedagogy and Learning (CIPL) is organizing Empowering Day 2025. The theme of this year is “Teaching, Learning, and Transformation.”
 
The program will feature interactive workshops, reflective sessions, and practical insights facilitated by Mr. Umes Shrestha-Head of CIPL and Ms. Abhilasha Rayamajhi-Head of the Writing Center.

Date: Saturday, December 13, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Venue: The Plaza, Lalitpur
Includes: Certificates, handouts, breakfast, lunch, tea, and coffee
 
 
Note: We are able to subsidize 10 faculty/staff members. Participation in this program will be recorded as part of Professional Development (PD) session by the P&C Department.

University of Oxfod- Call for Applications – “Map the System” 2026

Dear Students,

Open to all the students of MBA/BBA/BSIT/BSCS students 

 

We are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the internal competition of “Map the System”, a global learning program and competition hosted by the University of Oxford’s Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship.

 

Students may choose to participate individually or in teams of up to five members. Interdisciplinary teams are highly encouraged—for example, teams may include students from MBA, BBA, BSIT, BSCS. 

 

Each team will explore a complex social or environmental issue of their choice. Participants will actively engage for 8–12 weeks to research, prepare, and submit their project materials.

 

About the Global Final Competition

Teams selected for the Global Finals in Oxford must prepare a 10-minute oral presentation demonstrating:

  • An understanding of the broader system surrounding their chosen challenge
  • Root causes, systemic patterns, assumptions, gaps, and potential levers of change
  • A systems-thinking perspective on the current state of the challenge

Note: Participants are not required to propose solutions. The focus is on understanding the system.

 

Project Submission Components

  1. Visual Systems Map/Chart
    Suggested formats: PowerPoint, Prezi, PDF, JPG (other visual formats also accepted)
  2. Written Analysis (Max 3,000 words)
    Should include research insights and key findings
    Accepted formats: Word, PDF, PowerPoint, Prezi
  3. Detailed Bibliography

Important Dates

    • Team Registration Deadline: December 10, 3:00 PM NPT

  • Project Briefing & Learning Portal Sharing: December 12 (Time TBD)
  • Problem Proposal Submission: January 2, 8:00 AM NPT
  • Map the System Module Completion: March 27
  • Local Competition (Selection of King's Representative Team): April 24
  • Local Competition Result Publication: April 27
  • Team Record Submission to Oxford: May 7
  • Final Project & Presentation Submission to Oxford: June 25
  • Map the System Global Final Competition: July 9–12, 2026
 
A non-refundable commitment fee of Rs. 3000 per participant is required to confirm your registration. The completion of the Map the system coursework is equivalent to 1 professional module.
